Wildlife Acoustics is collaborating with ERM to offer a three-day training course in bat acoustic and mist net surveys for new and experienced biologists.
This two day course will provide a foundation for those participating in the North American Bat Monitoring Program, conducting environmental assessments, monitoring at wind energy developments and more.
The session starts with an introduction of ultrasound, the basics of bat acoustics and bat detector technology. The session continues with the "Ecology of Echolocation" and clutter continuum in a species-specific context. Cori will also cover species identification, site selection best practices and study design.
